Shillong Teer is an archery-based number result tradition associated with Shillong in Meghalaya. Unlike a computer-generated number draw, the result is connected to an archery session in which archers shoot arrows at a target. After the shooting round is completed, the arrows that have hit the target are counted and the last two digits of the total are used as the result.

This guide explains the process in simple terms. It is intended for readers who want to understand what Shillong Teer is, what FR and SR mean, and how a two-digit result is produced.

How Does the Shillong Teer Result Process Work?

The basic result process is based on archery and counting. A group of archers shoots arrows at a target during an organised round. When the round ends, the arrows that have hit the target are counted.

The final result is based on the last two digits of that count.

For example, if the counted total were 643 arrows, the two-digit result would be 43. If the total ended in 05, the displayed result would be 05. A result of 00 is also a valid two-digit value and should not automatically be treated as missing data.

What Do FR and SR Mean?

Shillong Teer result pages commonly separate results into two rounds. These are usually shown as FR and SR.

  • FR means First Round.
  • SR means Second Round.

Each round has its own result. This is why a daily result table may show one number for FR and another number for SR.

When checking an old result, always confirm both the result date and the round. A number shown for FR should not be confused with the SR result from the same date.

Why Is the Result Shown as a Two-Digit Number?

The result uses the final two digits of the counted arrow total. This produces a value from 00 to 99.

For example:

  • A total ending in 27 produces result 27.
  • A total ending in 84 produces result 84.
  • A total ending in 03 produces result 03.
  • A total ending in 00 produces result 00.

Leading zeroes matter when displaying historical results. The value 03 should be shown as 03, not simply 3, because Teer results are normally read in two-digit format.

How Should You Read a Shillong Teer Result Table?

Start by checking the date shown on the result page. Then look at the First Round and Second Round columns separately.

For example, a result table may show:

FR: 47
SR: 82

This means the First Round result is 47 and the Second Round result is 82 for the date displayed on that page.

Our Shillong Teer result page is designed to display the latest available result information, while the previous results archive can be used to browse older dates.

What Does OFF Mean in a Historical Result?

Some historical archive dates may display OFF instead of a number. OFF should not be converted into 00 because the two values have different meanings.

In our archive system, 00 is preserved as a valid declared numeric result. OFF is stored and displayed as a separate result status.

We explain this distinction in more detail in our guide to OFF, unavailable and undeclared Teer archive values.

What Does an Unavailable Result Mean?

Historical source material is not always complete. An older result may sometimes be unavailable in the source data used to organise an archive.

When a historical value cannot be reliably represented as a declared number, it is better to mark the value as unavailable than to invent a number or replace it with 00.

This distinction is important for anyone reviewing older result tables or studying historical records.

Is Shillong Teer Only About Result Numbers?

The archery element is an important part of understanding Shillong Teer. Archery has a wider cultural presence in Meghalaya, and the Teer process is connected with an organised shooting and counting activity rather than a random number generator.

For readers outside Meghalaya, this is often the most important difference to understand. The displayed two-digit result is connected to the counted arrows from the relevant round.

How Can I Check Previous Shillong Teer Results?

If you need an older result, use the Previous Results section. Select the Shillong archive and browse the available year and month.

Our historical archive preserves two-digit formatting and distinguishes declared numeric results from statuses such as OFF or unavailable data.

You can also use the site's search and archive tools when looking for a specific historical date.

Why Does Accurate Historical Formatting Matter?

A historical result archive should preserve the source meaning as carefully as possible. Small formatting decisions can change how a record is understood.

For example, converting 00 into a blank value would remove a valid result. Converting OFF into 00 would create a numeric result that was not actually represented that way in the archive source.

For this reason, our result database treats declared numbers, OFF statuses, unavailable values and undeclared values separately.
